Scale models of public Western establishments rapidly planting themselves throughout the present-day Orient inspired the artist in this series of art pieces. Characters visit these markedly signature institutions, varying from replicas relojes CitiBank to Subway, in simple scenes of daily existence. The depictions of corporate colonialism are purposefully created in miniature size, allowing the audience to observe from afar this artist’s visualization of a changing Middle Eastern landscape.
